My Favorite!!!…

Well yesterday was nice in the morning and for the most part of the day…then it got pretty hot so the ac went on…it was about 87 outside n humid…

The two days before were well up in the high 90’s probably about 100 truth be told…

So went to bed last nighters with the ac on …it was a lil kool so when I woke up I put my scarf/blanket around me and as I remembered from last nighters checking the weather they said it was supposed to be kooler and more fall like… so I opened the front door and said it’s colder outside than it is inside…so I asked dad to turn the ac off but he is no good at electronic things at all (bless his heart)you should see him with the remote control lmao…Gotta love my dad!!!… so I ended up trying to show him how to turn if off and on…Either way I hope the ac is off for good!!!…

Texas weather just caught up!!!… : )

The temperature this morning was a low 45 yes you read that right lol…and I seen it with my own eyes as I checked the temperature gauge on the back porch as well online…I was so happy I wanted to do a happy dance : )   but my body said oh nooo… So from the look on the weather forecast so far so good on the saying I believe that fall is here to stay!!!…It’s only 60 outside as I am writing this and the low will be around 45 tomorrow morning …wooohooo!!!…lets hope it stays this way…

This brings me to some of the reasons why I love fall so much!!!…Here is a random list of the reason why!!!…

Love the change of colors of the different trees around here…

Having a crock pot full of homemade hot apple cider…

Having a crock pot full of hot coco…I have a machine that is just for hot coco…you just add hot coco mix and milk… even powered milk works great and cheaper and no one can tell the difference hehe…so you add the above into this plastic container and put the cover on and turn on…it stirs it all together and even heats it to a almost boil and shuts off when done…again I love this thing…I also have a good receipt for homemade hot coco and homemade apple cider…I may make another post for those…

The fire pit going and just relaxing with loved ones…it’s a nice big fire pit that has a handle that doesn’t get hot and you can even bbq on it!!!…

Bring in the wood from outside to put into the fireplace …I love to sit next to the fireplace with my throw blankets or the scarf/blanket and sit and read…sometimes this is a hard task due to our indoor dogs as they want to play… : ) so at times I am on the couch lol…also I am the fire chief!!!…I’m in charge of the fire and the wood and keeping it going all through the night and day…I love my job title ahahha…

Speaking of cozy…love my flannel pj’s …Oh so comfy!!!…

Fresh apples…pumpkin carving…baking homemade pecan pies and pumpkin pies…

The crispness in the air…

Handing out candy to the trick or treats …I would bet money on the fact that we won’t get anyone this year…I hope that I am wrong…but the upside would be that we could and will eat the left over candy…we have already gone through 2 small bags heheh…we blame dad eating it all lolol…

Scary movies…I just love!!!…now I don’t go out to the movies so what ever they play on TV is the option I have…Don’t ask me how long it’s been since I’ve been to the movies!!!(I would have to kill you)…I have to watch them alone since my dad is really to scared to watch them lol…That is the truth!!!…He hates them with a passion but then he gets scared if you walk up behind him…he will always jump 6 feet straight up in the air!!!…Have to admit it is fun to scare my dad…he makes it so damn easy!!!…

  2. I love Fall too, and Halloween. I grew up in a dense old urban neighborhood, with streets in a grid, and easily accessible. That time of year, with the leaves fallen and covering sidewalks and yards, old houses with a high creep factor, and most everyone decorated and happily doled out treats. It was Americana at its finest. It’s my favorite holiday. As for Fall, it’ll always be special because it was the start of my wife and I. We started seeing each othe in September of ’93. It was a time I’ll never forget. 😊

    Oh, and my favorite scary movie is a tie between Halloween, the original, and The Shining. 😃

    1. You nailed it!!! we have a very old house and kids would walk half way up and say uh no nope lol…yes it was Americana at its best for sure!!!… aww how sweet that you started dating around this time of year…so happy for you…you can tell your so happy still…
      Omg yes!!!… Halloween the original and The Shinning ….speaking of The Shining is was just on TV but it had already started so I didn’t watch it this time but…every time it comes on we watch it… The hotel is so amazing I would so stay the winter lolol…I think they said they used 2 different hotels ???…

Ok I do get it lol… but say you have books and internet so you are still connected lol… sitting by any of the fireplaces you wanted with a good book…any room you wanted…a kitchen that size and all that food to cook all day long…drinks…I could go on lmao…if younger rollerblading all around inside lolol…ALL THAT SNOW!!! IMMA IN LOVE!!!…lol

        see it wouldn’t be all that bad…spending time with loved ones…amazing dinners…cozy comfy beds and books and games …I think it would be fun and sooooooo relaxing!!!…Oh and SNOW!!!!!

      4. I like watching the old scary ones since I am older and my hands arn’t covering my eyes …lol that way I catch things that I missed when I was younger and scared lolol…
        Oh the new saw movie will be out soon I believe…have you seen any of those…???

  4. So many great things in your thoughts about the fall season! I’d love to have a fire pit, or a chimenea thing. I love the Indian summer days, and also when it gets cooler, with a misty fog. I’ve watched so many scary/horror movies, it’s hard to pick one. Mostly they don’t scare me at all, it’s just fun to watch. Pet Cemetery comes to mind. That was pretty creepy. One that wasn’t really supposed to be for Halloween, but made me jump, and gasp, was Snakes on a Plane! We used to get lots of kids trick or treating, but not so much any more. We usually have candy left over (then we eat it) haha … 🙂

      You should get them when they are sell…mom n dad got ours for us for a Christmas gift… even in the summer with a lil fire to hang out…
      Oh me too I love the misty fog in the mornings…
      Dang they scared me when I was lil but still watched with my eyes just a lil covered lol…yes they are fun to watch …I like to watch ones that used to scare me when I was kid so I pick up on things that I missed lolol…Oh yes Pet Cemetery was just on TV the other day and the 2nd one as well…creepy for sure…Now I have only seen parts of Snakes on the plane lol…at first when it came to the movies I thought no way would this be any good but just the lil I seen on TV I have to catch the rest lol…
      Yeah I don’t think many are trick n treating much these days…sad…the upside is we get to eat the candy that is left lol like you said hehehe one reason why we get a few bags of candy that we do like and another bag for kids that we will eat but not our favorite since these bags of candy have gone so high in price lol

  5. Yep, that’s our thinking too, about the candy! haha 🙂 I should someday look for a fire pit on sale. Sounds nice. Then again, guess I could just light up the BBQ grill and sit around that in the back yard! … I know we saw Snakes on a plane at the movies, and I do think we went more than once. Then I bought the DVD! 🙂

Yeah you can buy those fire pits just about anywhere …look around it doesn’t have to be an expensive one either…or fuck it do the BBQ pit lmao… the fire pit we have you can also BBQ off of it…has a big round crate what ever you call it lol that goes on top of the fire…it also comes with a cover…get one and I know you would enjoy it gurl…
      Wow then it must be a good movie!!!… will remind myself to watch all of it when it comes on again…I think the last time I went to the movies was in 2001 hahaahah

  6. I can’t even remember the last movie we went to, it’s been so long ago. I can’t eat popcorn any more, so it about kills me to smell it, and not get some. So, no more out movies for me. Yes, I like the Tyler Perry movies, the ones I’ve seen. So funny, and such a great actor!

    1. lol…oh no …no popcorn???…I love the kind you get at the movies but like you been so long lol…and sometimes it hurts my teeth…oh the smell of popcorn yummy…I keep telling my better half when we figure out what were gonna do…if stay here at dads home and maybe in his home or build in the back or finish ours lolol that I want one of those popcorn makers on wheels lol you know the kind??…
      Well shitt gurl I can’t for the life of me remember why I mention his name lol I think it was going to be a question but can’t remember lol ohhhh the old age is sneaking in on my happy azz lol

      Oh I just love it…but I also love, love winter…I know that I can take clothes off or on if to hot or cold… lol… but yes fall is far my favorite!!!…the colors of the trees…the crisp of the air…crunching of the leaves as you walk on them…okokok just everything and oh so cozy you are so right!!!… I really miss Vermont during that time of year the foliage there is such beauty that even a picture can’t take…
