I have a question for everyone of you…
Here at dads home we use Directv for our TV stations…
We do not have cable as far as I know out here…
With the provider we use it is getting really expensive …
We really only end up watching a few channels …we don’t have the high package …we have a sports package for dad but that is only like 7.00 a month…
So what I need from you all is…what television service do you use???…and why???…and how much???…if you don’t mind…
Even ones for computer like Amazon things like that…
I am trying to gather all the information from other like you all “my friends” so maybe we can save some money…
Also tell me what you don’t like about such n such…
Anything free on a computer???…without a virus ???…lol
So this is for computer and or TV…
I would really appreciate your time and knowledge…>>>Help this gurl out plz… : )
So let’s hear it!!!…
If you have Internet you can stream your shows. Get a really good broadcast antenna to get shows over the air. Contact your TV provider to see if they have any specials for long-term customers.

I have internet…how do I go about streaming shows???…
Yes we thought about doing the antenna with doing that if we go high enough we would probably get maybe 20 local channels and when I say local I mean from Dallas and that is over 60+ miles away…
We don’t have any TV providers out here in the country lollol… and I am almost sure that we don’t have cable here at all…
Oh glad to have you back with us my friend!!!…

Get a Roku or a Chromecast and you can do streaming from those devices. You can get Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and other content distributors.

The costs vary depending on the providers you sign up with like Netflix, etc. You can go to some network sites and stream for free. A lot of people have cut the cord this way.

I stream videos directly from Hulu and Amazon Prime on my phone and iPad but you do need it for streaming on your TV.

We live rurally, so satellite is our best option. We use Directv as well. We have internet, and wifi, and it’s fine for all of us on devices, but would slow way down trying to watch Apple TV or Roku, etc. via wifi. The Direct bill is roughly $130/month, but we have several tv’s and whole home DVR.

Same here live out in the country…
Just trying to save some money …like we all are…lol…
I know that I am on the lowest speed for wifi I believe…I can have over 10 people over here and all using my wifi and all is good for videos and all…but I believe and correct me if I am wrong if that works do you think if I got Rocu I would have speed problems and have to go up on my speed???…not very often we have that many over here lol…usually just dad and I and better half…we have 2 TV the one in the living room is a big one and has the home DVR on it and the bedroom one just has a basic box… I rather pay for a full year for Amazon n Hulu and all one time then keep paying for directv and only watch less than a handful of channels lol…

If you can have 10 people on at once and not slow down, then you should be fine with a device for tv. I’ve had people recommend an Amazon Fire Stick that’s been jailbroken, I think they call it. 😊

Yeah we can have people a handful and not a problem with it being slow…
Well I think we may do this at least try it out or look more into it…
I have no idea about the Amazon Fire Stick that has been jailbroken lolo…imma lost on that one…lolol

There’s the ‘Amazon Fire Stick’ which you can get at Target or purchase online. some of my family members have it and rave about how much better it is tv/movie wise and cost wise. With the Fire Stick, you’re able to stream just about any movies, tv shows as well as what live television.

If you’re looking to stream there’s Directv Now. The least expensive is $35 with no contract. They give you a 7 day free trial. There’s also Sling TV which is streaming. I think it starts at $20. I just use an antenna. My grandparents have Directv. I think it’s $50.

imma looking for anything cheaper than what Directv charges us here… they have more informercials<<<how ever you spell it lolol… than anything…lolol or they play the same movies on the same channels back to back…imma like damn we have so many movies out in this world why do they only show the same damn ones…not talking about the movies you can pay for on DirecTV…
