Texas Weather…Will it catch on???…

I don’ think Texas or where I live in Texas knows that the first day of fall has passed us by…

It should be kooler… but oh no… it’s over 98+ out in the shade… it’s hot n humid…

I don’t believe any leafs has changed any form of color… at least not what I have seen…

The a/c unit is still running its big azz off…

I haven’t seen anyone selling firewood for our fireplace… no drive by from our normal guy we sometimes get the wood from…

No big fire pit going on at night or daytime… you know sitting around the fire with a drink n hand and talking with family…

I am still in shorts and a t-shirt…

Haven’t even changed my closet out yet for my fall and winter clothes…

For the next week still looks like Texas hasn’t gotten the memo that we are in fall..

I live for fall and winter… I still really can’t go out and be in the sun no matter how much sunscreen I use… but see fall and winter your supposed to wear warmer clothes…such would cover me up…

      2. lmao… you get all the conditions of weather here as I have found out lol…
        Oh yes Texas is so wonderful lolol… I do like it…just want more normal temps and winter wonderland lol… not asking much am I ???…lol

      10. he’s right to some degree…it’s generally cheaper to maintain…then to establish a setting…so set on auto and let the unit toggle b/t heat and cool…BUT some older systems ain’t got that trick so if it’s not needed for a couple days off is cheaper

    1. well low 80’s not bad at all… I am just so ready for fall n winter… I want, WANT snow this year too…hahaah… I know i am asking a lot but damn it…lol…
      so what time is dinner??? should I stop and get something for everyone???… or wait till I get there and help cook with ya…

  5. It’s like that here too, in the southeastern area of PA! I’m so over summer. It needs to go away/ It’s not as hot as it is there, but with the temp at 85 and humidity at 61%, it might as well be! The leaves are confused. Some have begun to change but a lot of them are still green.

I hear ya gurl… you said it best ” I’m so fucking over summer” ok well I added the fucking word lol… yes that’s the perfect term about the leaves they are confused and so is the weather lol… give me fall and winter any day all year round too… I may take a Sunday drive this weekend “back roads” and see if any are changing color in other places …I won’t get my hopes up lol…

      1. I’m not a fan of winter either. lol. But I do love fall and spring. I live in the wrong area of the US, that being the case. We get all the seasons and of course the two I don’t like end up being the longest.

I love winter for the snow…half the time we don’t get but usually we get ice first lol… spring is to close to summer lolol… and here it just goes from one extreme to the other so some of the time or most of it you don’t really get to enjoy them here its either to hot or to cold…never in between…
        I do miss getting all the seasons… like I said its hot or cold here…
        what state do you live in???… if you don’t mind me asking…

      3. I live in PA. I mention it in my original comment. 🙂 The leaves get pretty here, but haven’t seen much change here yet, except for the tree outside my window. And unfortunately, Iits leaves went from green to brown. And they are starting to fall off. There’s still quite a few green ones left though.

        I want to see some red leaves and wear a sweater. lol

        See now your talking lol sweaters n hoodies and fire and beautiful red and all color leaves… yes this is what I want too…
        from here at the window all leaves are still green lol… blah… we can keep wishing huh???… oh and let us not forget the hot coco… that is a must!!!… I have a hot coco machine you just add water or milk and coco and turn it on and it heats and stirs it all for you and turns off when a certain temps is reached … or hot apple cider…yummy…

      5. Oh damn, I’m sorry. Head injury. that’s awful. Either way though, I know it’s easy to miss things in comments. Plus I don’t think too many people refer to their states with the letters, or do they?

        When you ask the question, “Where are you from?” it is common to hear someone from Pennsylvania say, Pee-ay, drawing the pronunciation of both letters together like it’s one word.

        I have only briefly driven through Texas back in the summer of 95. We could see Cadillac Ranch from the highway (or is it freeway there?) We just passed through though. Have you ever been to PA?

        I think they still do with the letters … I do both lol… yuppers I have heard that too pee-ay …
        they call them highway here for the most part you know the regulars lol… dad still call it freeway lol…
        I believe we drove thru it a few times but would have to ask my dad for sure and hes in the shower lol… we live with dad the past 7+ years our house is down the street lol…empty lol… I took care of mom until she passed then got to stay at home for I believe 9 months then dad had a bad accident and can’t be alone… so we have a big choice to make…stay here in dads home or build a metal building in back or go back home…lol lets just say nothing is working out and we are confused lololol
